The server

A remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in). Works with any MCP-capable client. You sign in with the same account as the Mendy app, Google or email.
Connect it
ChatGPT
Mendy has been submitted to the ChatGPT app directory, and once approved you can add it with one tap. Until then: turn on Developer mode (Settings, then Security, then Developer mode), choose Add plugin, paste the server URL above, keep Authentication on OAuth, and sign in when prompted.
Claude
In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste the server URL above and sign in when prompted. Custom connectors are available on Claude's paid plans.
Anything else that speaks MCP
Point your client at the URL above. Discovery is standard: OAuth is advertised at the well-known endpoints, consequential actions confirm with you before they run, and clients that cannot confirm are refused those actions rather than trusted.
What it can do
Diagnose the problem
Describe it in a sentence, with your postcode. Mendy gives an honest read: what it looks like, whether it is safe to DIY, the trade required, and the typical price band. If a clarifying answer changes the picture, the read updates.
Shortlist real tradies
Up to five local businesses with credentials checked against state licence registers and the ABN register. No invented tradies, and no phone numbers pasted into the chat.
Ring around for quotes
With your confirmation, Mendy's concierge rings the shortlist, describes your job and collects each tradie's own price. Quotes land back in the chat, usually within the hour during calling hours.
Book the visit
Pick a quote, pick a window, confirm. The tradie gets the job details by SMS and you get their number once it's booked. Your first booking is free, then $3.50 a booking, paid at mendyai.app, never in the chat. You pay the tradie directly for the work, at the quoted price.
The rules it keeps
Nothing consequential happens without you saying yes to a confirmation the AI cannot fake. No payment details ever pass through the chat. Ring-arounds are capped per day, and every business Mendy contacts can opt out with one word, forever. The same account, jobs and quotes appear in the Mendy app too, so you can start in the chat and finish anywhere.
