If it's a safe DIY job, we say so

Plenty of problems are a small fix. Where one looks straightforward, Mendy gives you the fix a knowledgeable mate would: exact products, simple steps, and the clear point where you should stop and call a professional. We'd rather save you the call-out than send a tradie you don't need.

Step 3

When you want a pro, Mendy rings real local tradies

You see the shortlist first: real businesses with real credentials (licence checks, ABN status, ratings with their source shown). Pick the ones you like, or let Mendy pick. Then Mendy rings them, one by one, describes your job and asks for a quote. We say who we are and why we're calling, and one word takes a tradie off our list for good.

Real quotes come back to you

As tradies quote, the numbers land in your app. Each one is that tradie's own price for your job, not an algorithm's guess. Book the one you want. If nobody bites, we widen the search and go again.

Book it. Free.

Booking is free. You and your tradie get each other's numbers, they show up, you pay them directly for the work. No commissions, no mark-ups on quotes and no surge pricing. After the job, you can leave a review only if you actually booked, which is why Mendy ratings mean something.

Premium makes you the featured result in up to 5 postcodes you choose: always labelled as a paid placement, capped so paid spots never crowd out earned ones, and it never buys ratings or reviews. Cancel any time; Premium runs to the end of the period you've paid for, then stops. If you never pay us a cent, customers still find you on merit.

Opt out once, we stop forever

Say “remove me” on a call, reply STOP to a text, or email us, and Mendy never contacts you again, on any channel. The only way back in is you claiming your own business, verified. That's a promise built into the software, not a policy PDF.

Is there an app that calls tradies for you in Australia?

Yes. Mendy rings local tradies on your behalf, in parallel, tells them who is calling and why, and brings back their own quotes. You pick one and Mendy books it. You never make a call. It is free to use and works across Australia.

How much does Mendy cost?

Nothing for customers. Scanning a problem, the DIY fix, the quotes and the booking are all free, with no booking fee and no subscription. Tradies are listed, claim their listing, quote and win jobs for free too. The only paid product is an optional Premium placement for tradies at $35 a month.

How does Mendy find the tradies it calls?

Mendy holds a directory of more than 77,500 Australian trade businesses built from public registers, with licence checks where the trade is regulated. For your job it shortlists nearby businesses in the right trade, shows you the shortlist, then rings or texts them with the job details and your suburb.

Does Mendy work outside Sydney?

Yes. Mendy is built in Sydney but the directory and the ring-around cover all of Australia, and tradies are contacted only in their own local business hours.

Will Mendy tell me if I can fix it myself?

Yes. If the job is a safe one, Mendy gives you the exact steps and the point where you should stop and call a professional. Regulated work, such as anything electrical or gas, always goes to a licensed tradie.

How do I know what a fair price is?

Before anyone quotes, Mendy shows a cost range for that job in your area from Australian pricing data. Every quote that comes back is that tradie's own price, shown side by side, so a high one stands out. The cost guides at mendyai.app/costs list ranges by trade.

Can I use Mendy inside ChatGPT or Claude?
